Hi, I'm Vanessa
Welcome to V.B Therapy. I'm so glad you're here. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, and I believe that when we feel safe and are met without judgement or criticism, we can bring our whole selves into the room - not just the versions we feel we have to present to the world. In that kind of space, it becomes possible to gently explore our hopes, fears, wounds, desires, and inner strengths.
I am committed to proving a supportive space where all your feelings are welcomed, and I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey of understanding, growth, and self-discovery.

Who I Support
My work focuses on supporting people who are struggling with dysfunctional relationship dynamics. You may be carrying the impact of difficult family relationships, navigating estrangement, feeling the effects of growing up with emotionally immature parents, managing complex sibling dynamics, experiencing tensions with friends, or dealing with challenging workplace relationships.
Areas We May Explore
In our work together, I explore the depth and nuance of your lived experience, helping to connect the dots and make sense of what you are carrying. This may include relationship and attachment difficulties, unmet core needs, emotional neglect, parentification, complex trauma, narcissistic or spiritual abuse, low self-worth, self-blame, high sensitivity, and loneliness.
My Training & Approach
My formal training is in integrative counselling, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. I believe therapy should be as unique as you are, so the work is carefully tailored to you, your experiences, emotions, beliefs, and your way of being in the world.
Beginning Support
If this feels right for you, you’re warmly invited to begin support in a space shaped around your needs, where you can move at your own pace and feel met with care, understanding, and respect. You’re welcome to arrange a free online consultation to explore whether this feels like the right fit and to ask any questions you may have, with no obligation to continue.

Support is available whenever you're ready
What I Offer
Compassion
I’m human, so I’ve been through my fair share of difficulties too, and some of my experiences are what inspired me to train as a counsellor. From my own experience, one of the greatest gifts I got from therapy was feeling seen and heard. Receiving the compassion of someone else taught me how to show myself compassion, give myself grace and importantly, nurture that same compassion for my clients.

Openness & Cultural Competence
I’m fortunate enough to have grown up in an environment with people from many faiths, cultural backgrounds and walks of life which fostered an awareness of culture and difference, both mine and others. I’m sensitive to others experience even when it differs greatly from my own. Whilst that has been a great foundation for me, I continually seek to educate myself on difference and diversity and integrate this knowledge into my practice.
Respect & Vulnerability
Nobody knows you better than you. Therefore I work collaboratively with clients and do not seek to tell you what to do or impose my views. Therapy nurtures new ideas, insight, and perspectives and whilst I’ll share and explore with you through insight and creativity, I’ll never seek to be the expert in your life, or be perfect in general. I’ll share my emotions appropriately, never seeking to take away from your experience.
